SHARING NEWS OF PASTOR TOM’S RETIREMENT
Many of you will remember Pastor Tom Braun. Pastor Tom faithfully served here at River of LIFE and was part of planting our church. He has announced his retirement effective October 31, 2025. We would love to send him and Colleen a box of cards filled with love and thanks from our River of LIFE family. A collection box is in the narthex. Please take a moment to write a note (we have some paper provided) or bring a card to share your thanks and encouragement as they enter this new chapter. If anyone has other ideas of how we might honor Pastor Tom, please let us know.
GROUP OUTING – EXPERIENCE NOAH ON THE BIG SCREEN
Sight & Sound presents NOAH, a powerful theatrical experience shown live on the big screen at Spotlight Theatre in Mankato (Old Cine Four). This breathtaking production brings the Bible to life with animals, drama, and inspiration for the whole family. The film will be showing for a full week, but a group from our church is planning to attend together on Saturday, September 20 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $18 each and can be purchased online. If you would like to join the group, need a ride, or have questions, please talk to Jan Backlund.
YOUTH GROUP HELP WITH MEALS & SERVING
Our youth group kicked off last week. The youth are excited to be getting back together again. An important part of this ministry includes sharing a meal, and we need your help to keep it going. You can sign up to provide a meal or to serve and clean up after the meal. To sign up, go to the Helpful Links section of our website or app and look just below the red line.
CLOTHING STORE INTEREST CHECK
We have had a few requests for our River of LIFE apparel, especially the hooded sweatshirt. Our vendor can print if we have at least ten people interested in the sweatshirt, and they are also willing to reopen the entire online store if there is enough interest. If you would like to order, please email the church office and let us know how many items you might order if we reopen the store. Your replies will help us decide whether to move forward.
UPCOMING GUATEMALA MISSION TRIP
Join us for a mission trip to Guatemala on February 9–16. If you are interested, please talk to Pastor Brian soon. An informational meeting will be held sometime in September and we will be purchasing airline tickets shortly thereafter.
