FIRST DAY OF SUNDAY SCHOOL & CONFIRMATION
Sunday School and confirmation will begin on Sunday, September 7 at 8:45am! If you haven’t registered your child yet, please take a moment to do so. You can find the registration link in the “Helpful Links” section on the Home Page of our website, just below the red bar, or on our River of LIFE mobile app. We’re excited to kick off another year of Sunday School together.
FIRST COMMUNION CLASS
We have a First Communion Class scheduled for Saturday, September 13th, from 8:00-10:00. Please RSVP through our website to let us know if this date works for you. If it does not, there will be an option to indicate interest so we can find another time. At River of LIFE, parents decide when their child is ready to receive the LORD’s Supper for the first time. Typically, children are in 3rd grade or older before attending this class, but if you have questions contact Pastor Brian.
YOUTH GROUP HELP NEEDED
We’re looking for help with our Youth Group! We especially need help with our Jr High Youth Group (5th-8th grade). We have a main leader in place, but we need a few assistants. This is absolutely essential for us to continue with this ministry. Our senior high group is covered, but we have a large group at the junior high level, and we can’t keep this great ministry going without more volunteers.
We also need help with the meals we serve each night. Each night we provide a free meal for our youth, which makes it easier to get kids here and gives them time to feel welcome and connect with friends. This is a big part of why our youth group has been so successful, and we want to continue to provide these meals. To do that, we need volunteers to bring meals, help prepare them, and assist with cleanup. More details on meals will be shared soon. UPCOMING GUATEMALA MISSION TRIP
Join us for a mission trip to Guatemala on February 9th–16th. If you are interested, please talk to Pastor Brian soon. An informational meeting will be held sometime in September and we will be purchasing airline tickets shortly thereafter.
