YOUTH GROUP HELP
We’re looking for more help with our Youth Group! We especially need help with our Junior High Youth Group (5th-8th grade). We have a main leader in place, but we need at least two assistants (minimum). This is absolutely essential for us to continue with this ministry. Our senior high group is covered, but we have a large group at the junior high level, and we can’t keep this great ministry going without more volunteers.
We’ll also will need help with the meals we serve each night. If you don’t know, each night we provide a free meal for our youth. This makes it quick and easy for parents to get their kids here with busy schedules, and it gives the kids a chance to feel welcome, connect with friends, and share time together before the evening’s activities. This is a big part of why our youth group has been so successful, and we want to keep it going. To do that, we need volunteers to bring meals, help prepare them, and assist with cleanup. More information regarding the meals and how you can help will be coming soon. In the meantime, if you have questions, please talk to Pastor Brian, Jim Christenson, or Angie or Brian Fogal.
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS NEEDED
We are still in need of a few Sunday School teachers for this school year. This is an important ministry that helps us share God’s Word and love with our kids here at River of LIFE. Please consider being part of this much needed work. If you have any questions or want to learn more, talk to Pastor Brian or email the church office at office@riveroflifelutheran.com. There will be a teacher meeting on Wednesday, August 20th @ 5:00pm.
UPCOMING GUATEMALA MISSION TRIP
Join us for a mission trip to Guatemala on February 9–16. If you are interested, please talk to Pastor Brian soon. An informational meeting will be held sometime in September and we will be purchasing airline tickets shortly thereafter.
CARDS & BOARDGAMES TONIGHT AT CHURCH!!
Join us for a night of cards, board games and great company at church tonight @ 7:00pm. Bring a favorite game or just come and play. There will be something for everyone. All ages welcome. No need to sign up, just show up!
