YOUR JOURNEY TO ALASKA WITH TRUE NORTH VBS BEGINS WITH REGISTRATION This year kids will be exploring what it means to Trust Jesus in a Wild World! Sun. July 27 – Thurs. July 31 @ 5:45pm-7:55pm with a free meal each day @ 5:00pm. It is FREE to attend. We have something for everyone: Age 3-Grade 5 register as a participant & Grade 6-Adult register as a volunteer. Our biggest need is teen Crew Leaders. We ask all ages to PLEASE PRE-REGISTER THIS WEEK so we can plan our trek thru the tundra. VBS STAFF & CREW IMPORTANT DATES! We ask that everyone serving with VBS to attend the VBS STAFF & CREW LEADER MEETING on Thursday, July 24 at 6:30pm. Since it’s our only meeting, it’s important for everyone to be on the same page to ensure a fun and smooth event for the kids. There will also be a VBS PRAYERS & BLESSING for all volunteers during the worship service on Sunday, July 27. This includes any youth or adult volunteer helping with VBS in any capacity.
HELP US CREATE A MEMORABLE VBS! We have various ways for you to support our VBS program this year. We have created an Amazon Wishlist, which we will update as needs arise. The link can be found at the bottom of the home page (below the helpful links section) on the church website. Additionally, we need help with food items & desserts for the free meals we offer each night. Various misc. items are also needed for different uses during VBS. Specific items of need can be found on the VBS table in the narthex.
MOWERS NEEDED We are looking for volunteers to mow the church lawn for the second half of the summer. Sign up for one week at a time. Mowers are provided by the church and most of the yard can be done with a tractor mower. Talk to Jim Christenson if you have any questions
WEDNESDAY EVENING OUTDOOR WORSHIP SERVICE We will be holding our last outdoor worship service here at church on Wednesday evening at 6:30pm on August 13th. Bring a blanket or chair and join us. If you’d like to help by organizing and providing a simple treat for the evening, there’s a sign-up sheet available. Simple treats like ice cream sandwiches, s’mores, or similar snacks.
KARAOKE NIGHT AT WESTWOOD MARINA Join us for a fun night of karaoke at Westwood Marina on Friday, July 25 from 8:00pm to midnight. All are welcome. Come sing, laugh, and enjoy the evening together.
MOON DOGS GAME – SUNDAY AUGUST 3RD @ 5:05pm We’re heading to a Mankato MoonDogs baseball game and you’re invited. Baseball is fun for everyone whether you are there for the game the food or just a good time with friends. Tickets will be available to purchase at church soon. We will share details on how to get your ticket up once everything is finalized. For now mark your calendar for Sunday August 3rd and plan to join us for a fun evening at the ballpark.
NICOLLET COUNTY FAIR IS COMING SOON! We’re looking for friendly faces to take a shift at our River of LIFE booth. It’s simple and fun. Just hang out by the table, hand out water bottles, and help kids play the Plinko game. We have chairs, shade, and a great setup. The fair is Wednesday, August 6 - Sunday, August 10. Come enjoy the fair and help us spread a little joy. You can sign up online through our website or app, just look in the Helpful Links section below the red line.
