40 DAY RED LETTER CHALLENGE
This Lent, beginning Ash Wednesday, February 14, River of LIFE will kick off the Red Letter Challenge, a 40-day challenge where we, as brothers and sisters in Christ, are challenged to read the words of Jesus for 40 days straight. We’ll be reading, reflecting, and praying. We’ll be stretched and inspired. And in the end, our lives will look a whole lot more like Jesus.
We are hoping for everyone to find a small group to join, so we need to know what day of the week would work best for you to participate. There are signup sheets in the narthex; let us know which day works best for you. This is a great opportunity to connect with others and grow together.
ANNUAL MEETING AND POTLUCK
Join us for the church's annual meeting on Sunday, January 28, right after the worship service @ 11:15 am. Following the meeting, we will have a potluck where everyone is welcome to enjoy food and fellowship with one another.
VBS PLANNING MEETING
Our initial VBS planning meeting for our 2023 VBS will be held on Wednesday, February 7th at 6:00 pm. We are looking for volunteers to help with decorations, station leaders, food preparation, skits, publicity and more. If you can't attend the meeting but still want to be part of the process, contact Tracy and we'll keep you informed about future plans.
HANDYMAN HELPERS NEEDED
We are looking for a handful of volunteers for our new Handyman Helper Team. Goal: establish a group of people to address building needs collectively as they come about. Your participation doesn't require you to fix every problem but rather contribute to finding solutions. We are imagining a text group where Tracy would text the group, and together, we can decide how to proceed. If you ARE able to fix things, that's fantastic, but it's not expected that you do every time you get a text. This is not an every day or even every week commitment.
