What does an acolyte do?
The acolyte lights and extinguishes the altar candles at the start and close of each service. The acolyte also holds the basket during communion for people to deposit their empty communion glasses into.
Will there be training?
Yes, we will review and practice the duties of an acolyte at the start of this Sunday School year.
When will my child be scheduled?
What we have done in the past and will continue to do is that we will put out for the next couple of months and everyone will be listed on random days. If when receiving the schedule, you find that you have a conflict, let the office know and we will find someone to switch with. You will also be reminded through our volunteer system the week you serve.
What makes this year unique to last year is that we have two worship service options, so what we need to know from you is which service you would like for child to be scheduled.
