REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR / BLESSING BOX
Each day until Christmas collect an item for your blessing box. A calendar list is provided in the narthex for your reference, but you are also welcome to bring any other items you think would be useful. Whether you decide to bring your items in now or wait until Christmas Eve to bring them in, is up to you. Everything will eventually be brought down to the St. Peter Food Shelf. Let's make this Advent season a time to show Jesus’ Love to those in need.
ADVENT MEALS
A meal will be provided at 5:30 pm each Wednesday during Advent. To minimize costs, we are asking for food donations. The signup link can be found on our website. Please bring the requested item by the specified date (usually the Sunday before the meal). If we don’t receive the items by that date, we will purchase what is needed.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The River of LIFE Board of Directors is seeking individuals who are interested in serving on the board. If you are interested, please speak with Pastor or one of the current board members for more information.
2024 MISSION COMMITTEE
River of LIFE sets aside 10% of its overall offering for missions annually. We are currently establishing a mission committee and seeking individuals who are interested in joining. The committee will make recommendations to the Board of Directors, who will then propose to the congregation which organizations our church will support in the year 2024.
BIBLE STUDIES
The women's Bible Study on Wednesday nights will be on a short break and will resume on January 3, 2024. The men's group will meet on December 13 before they also take a break for Christmas.
AMERICAN HERITAGE GIRLS LEADER
We are looking for someone to take on a leadership role for the soon-to-be-formed American Heritage Girls (AHG) program at River of LIFE. American Heritage Girls was founded by a group of parents wanting a faith-based, scout-type character development program for their daughters in 1995. Troops get the chance to participate in: fun outdoor activities, service projects, badge work, girl leadership opportunities, and more (all with other like-minded girls)! See Pastor for more info.
